Type data: 

Holotype ♂, Poland (Baltic amber).

Depository: 

Deutsches Entomologischen Institute und Museum, Eberswalde, Germany.

Note: 

This species was originally described as a species of Aedes (Finlaya). The type specimen is certainly a culicine mosquito, but it cannot be assigned to an extant genus of tribe Aedini based on the available information. The absence of spotted wings precludes it from being included in genus Finlaya.
