Type data: 

Holotype ♂, locality not stated (Baltic amber).

Depository: 

Museum of Amber Inclusions, University of Gdańsk, Poland.

Note: 

This species was originally described as a species of Aedes (Finlaya). The type specimen is certainly a culicine mosquito, but it cannot be assigned to an extant genus of tribe Aedini based on the description and illustrations provided by the author. The absence of spotted wings precludes it from being included in genus Finlaya.
