Definition:

In larvae, the usually strongly developed lateral seta either directly ventral or slightly posteroventral to seta 6 on abdominal segment I; stellate in some taxa (see seta 7-I-VII). In pupae, the seta closely associated with setae 6 and 9 on abdominal segment I; posterior to seta 6.
