Definition:

The sternum of abdominal segment IX. In male mosquitoes, a small sclerite continuous laterally with tergum IX. In mosquito pupae, may be present as a reduced and indistinct transverse sclerite at the base of the genital lobe.

Adults: basal ring (including tergum IX), hypandrium, ninth abdominal sternite, ninth sternite, ninth sternum, ninth tergite, sternite of the ninth segment. Pupae: ninth sternite.
